Is there a Thai massage studio in Leitrim?
Yes — Ban Thai Massage is Leitrim's first dedicated Thai massage studio, based in Mohill. We welcome clients from right across the county, including Carrick-on-Shannon, Ballinamore and Drumshanbo.
Do you only offer Thai massage, or other types of massage too?
Thai massage is our specialty, but it's not the only thing we offer. What is Thai massage, and how is it different from a regular massage?
Traditional Thai massage combines rhythmic compression, acupressure and assisted stretching along the body's energy lines — closer to a moving, guided yoga session than the long gliding strokes of a Swedish or Western-style massage. It's performed fully clothed, without oil, unless you choose one of our oil-based treatments.
Will it hurt? Can the pressure be adjusted?
It shouldn't. Pressure is always adjusted to you — firmer if you want a deep release, lighter if you'd rather ease into it. Just speak up during your session; every treatment is a conversation, not a script.
What should I wear?
Something loose and comfortable that you can move freely in. We'll guide you through anything else you need to know when you arrive.
Do you treat more than one person at a time?
No — Ban Thai Massage is a private, one-to-one practice. You'll have the room, and Natthanan's full attention, to yourself for the length of your session.
Is Thai massage safe during pregnancy?
We offer a dedicated Prenatal + Postnatal Massage, gently adapted for pregnancy and recovery. Please let us know how far along you are when you book, and check with your GP or midwife first if you're ever unsure.
Do you accommodate injuries, medical conditions, or limited mobility?
Often, yes — let us know beforehand so your session can be adapted. If you have a medical condition or recent injury, please check with your GP before booking.
Do I need to book in advance, and how do I book?
Yes, please — sessions are by appointment only. Message us on WhatsApp, by email, or by phone with your preferred treatment and time, and we'll confirm availability.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
Just let us know as soon as you can. We understand plans change, and we'll always try to find a new time that works for you.
Is there parking?
Yes — there's parking right outside the studio.
